Hope.

Hope and faith in Allah. That's the only thing I have right now...

Alhamdulillah.

So, IB results were released yesterday. Alhamdulillah. It was much much better than I thought I would ever get. But I'm a little disappointed.   The only thing I'm disappointed about is my Biology...  There goes my university offer.  Belfast wanted a 6 but I only got a five. And when I found out about this, my heart just dropped...   ONE MORE MARK. So yeah, I don't know what to do. Just wait until Belfast gives me my final verdict, I guess. Then maybe I'll try remarking it. And if all else fails, I'll just wait for whatever MARA can come up with. Whatever it is, alhamdulillah. I can't say alhamdulillah enough. Thank you to everyone that has helped me throughout my journey in IB. All your well-wishes and prayers. I appreciate them all. I don't know how to repay you. May Allah bless all of you wonderful people.

DIY Coffee and Cocoa mask

Image
So, coffee and cocoa. What do they have in common?  They both have antioxidant properties. Or so I've heard. Right, rather than boring you with the technicalities behind it all, let me just tell you that it can reduce the dark circles under your eyes and brighten your skin.  Disclaimer: I got this off a website btw. And the pictures are from Google. What you need: 1tsp coffee (you can use those coffee that comes in little packets from hotels. but NOT the 3 in 1 ones) 1tsp cocoa powder 1tsp milk  OPTIONAL: a few drops of honey (dry skin) or lemon juice (oily skin)  Just add them all together, stir and apply to face. Wait for it to dry. Do some relaxing activities like reading and such. Oh, it's Ramadan. Read the Quran! :)  Wash it off with warm water. Voila!  Waking up early for sahur and lack of water may cause our eyes to get puffy and our skin to be dry. Maybe this can help. Personally, I'd put it on after maghrib prayers, a...

Conscience.

Living in college/boarding school, it made me realise something. I have an issue with people not turning off their fans/lights when they're not in the room. I mean, I get it if you're going to the room next door for a bit or you went out to the loo for a few minutes, but going to the library or the DS (mess hall) that will take a while, there's no harm in turning off your fans/lights really. It's a pity. Such smart people study in this college. Yet their conscience in the simplest things… is somewhat disappointing. Who am I to talk about this, I'm not exactly a good person myself. But really, this is a tiny, tiny issue. It doesn't take two seconds. The light switch is by the frickin door people. When you walk out, just raise your hand a bit, and press the switch. Yes, I know, what's wrong with not turning off the fans/lights? It's not your money that you're wasting. It's the college's. Right? But just sit down and t...

Review: Sephora Pearl Mask

Image
Okay, so… I got this mask a few weeks ago. And I never got round to using it until tonight. My IB Maths paper just finished, and I needed some pampering. (among some other reasons) I went to KLCC with Afrina. When I went inside the huge Sephora, I was immediately attracted to this: The shelf full of masks. No, not because I love masks or anything, I just get excited when I see pretty colours. Hahaha  Oh btw, that's from Beijing's Sephora. Couldn't find the one in Malaysia. But it looks the same. So yeah.  Packaging: It's really pretty! But to be honest, it's kind of a waste because inside it, there's another package.  I have this issue with wastage… The mask: Alright. It was hard to unfold -__- And me being a clumsy person, made it even harder. Haha The texture of the mask is unlike other masks but I really don't know how to describe it.  The serum: I liked the consistency of it. It wasn't thick and gooey.  ...

Expressions.

I can't even express how much I want to scream right now. Maths. Never been good with numbers. Plus insensitivity.  Thanks anyway.

Race.

Life is a race. With Jannah as the ultimate finish line. Some go astray, lost and in the end, never actually reaching the finish line… Nauzubillah. Let's hope that none of us go astray. And if we do, we should find our way back. So right now, I'm at home, during study leave. Caused a lot of gasps when I told people that. Hahaha I don't know. I guess being a daily school student throughout my whole life made it difficult for me to study while watching other people study. I like studying in my own time, with a lot of space. I tend to lie down on my bed, on the floor, depan TV, and everywhere else. Hahaha Just a few more days. Single digits countdown now. To be honest, since IRP started, my confidence has increased for every subject other than Chemistry… I actually feel worse and worse by the session. I need to step up my game. Chemistry, please be nice. I need to score at least a 6. My home this September and for the next five years InsyaAllah.
