Paris

I just came back from Paris a few days ago from a six-day trip.
3 days in Disneyland and 3 days in the city of Paris.
To write down everything that happened in those six days would be impossible, so I'll just mention the highlights of our trip.

1. Disneyland Paris!

Second time here and I still found it to be as magical as it was 9 years ago.
We stayed at Disney's Hotel Cheyenne. Our package entitled us to two extra hours before the park opens everyday! No queues and not many people so we could take loadsssss of pictures! We also had vouchers for all-you-can-eat buffets.
So yes, if any of you are planning to go, trust me, a day is not enough. The average queue time for each ride is about 60 minutes. And Disneyland Paris is huge.

2. Arc de Triomphe
You HAVE to be fit to reach the top of this monument. Entry is free for EU residents under 26. From the ticket booth to the top, there is a spiral staircase that seems endless. Haha
The view from the top is definitely worth the climb. You can see Avenue des Champs-Élysées from up there and also the Eiffel tower!

3. The Eiffel Tower.
What's a trip to Paris without its most iconic monument? We even found a halal stall selling chicken wings and nuggets, what could be better?
We had to be extra careful there because pickpockets were everywhere and there were so many people asking for our signature (they'll con you).

4. Laduree.
Best macarons in the world? Maybe. Never really tasted any other macarons. So no comparisons there. Hahaha. The one on Champs-Elysees is forever packed so we went to the one on Rue Royale. Less people, better service. We even had breakfast there by mistake -__-
We went in the cafe and the waitress took us to a table. By then, it was too weird if we just walked out so we ended up having extremely expensive breakfast. The macaron shop was next door.

5. Sacré-Cœur
A beautiful Roman Catholic church situated at the highest point in the city. But the view is breathtaking.

Paris is a lovely city if you can get over the language barrier and the smell of their metro stations. Haha
Sadly, some of the people I've met on my trip didn't leave very good impressions on me. As we managed to learn some simple French phrases for our trip, we hoped that the locals would at least know some simple English to help us on our way but no. It's disappointing seeing that Paris is such a highly visited place.

This trip taught me a lot. Independence, patience, tolerance and appreciation. Indeed, travelling brings out the best and the worst in us and I'm happy to say that I've found the travel buddies that I'd stick with wherever, whenever.
